The Swiss Federal Maturity is a highly regarded qualification allowing students to enter into any university, College, polytechnic or third level institution in Switzerland, Europe, USA or Canada.
Blancpain School also offers the Federal Maturity in FRENCH or BILINGUAL MENTION (French 70%, English 30%). The latter is composed of English at higher level, history, geography and introduction to law and economics taught and examined in English.
The Swiss Maturity is prepared over a 3 year period – beginning in year 10 by a solid foundation year where the students(both vsg and vsb) are brought up to an adequate level through continuous evaluation in every subject.
- This is achieved by close contact between direction, staff, students and parents where needed.
- Five report cards a year and end of term exams.
- Mock exams and intensive coaching (stress management) beginning at the end of year 10 working through year 11.
- Revision courses (in August) before the Maturity exams in year 11 and 12.
It is also our aim to enable our students to present themselves as candidates for the Cambridge exams in English and the Goethe Institut in German at the end of year 10.
The exam is composed of two parts: at the end of year 11 and at the end of year 12.
