Ecole Blancpain offers a programme in French with intensive daily exposure to English, this is done through the use of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) which is used in the Preschool and Primary sections. Special attention is taken to ensure that the programme remains in line with the Swiss system in the Canton of Vaud.
A fully qualified, devoted and highly motivated teaching staff, in close cooperation with parents, not only provides continuous supervision in a safe environment but encourages students to reach their full potential and at times even exceed expectations.
This is achieved by nurturing a serious, reassuring and stimulating environment where special attention is given to politeness, respect, tidiness and the work ethic. Only when the pupil has fully understood this can the five pillars of Ecole Blancpain be put into effect.
The 5 pillars we seek to develop :
Communication - teaching students strategies to talk about their ideas and feelings as well as information and facts.
Confidence - we need to help students succeed.
Intentionality - we must encourage students to have goals.
Curiosity - we need to promote and value their curiosity.
Self-control - helping pupils to find strategies to think using the neo-cortex to avoid emotional flooding.
All of the above help develop a state of relaxed alertness enabling students to learn and do their work. This is helped by Multiple Intelligence where students are naturally considered intelligent and we set out to discover how our students are intelligent rather than how they are not.
We at Ecole Blancpain help develop students' self esteem which intellectually and emotionally allows students to do more. Our aim is to have emotionally intellectual students.
