The preschool and primary years which any child lives through are cognitively the most active years of his/her life, therefore at Blancpain Bilingual it is our need and deepest wish to create such an environment. It is in such an environment that the French speaking student is confronted with a mother tongue teacher who doesn’t speak (or doesn’t want to speak!!) nor understands his/her mother tongue naturally the same method applies to the English speaking student. This is achieved with the well qualified, enthusiastic and experienced teaching team who lead their students with energy and purpose.
Physical education is also present in the program as a healthy body is essential for a healthy mind. .
The acquisition even of certain notions of a second and in certain cases a third language in preschool must be consolidated and built upon throughout the primary school years in order to really see the fruits of the student’s efforts.
As the school day is divided into the morning section taught entirely through English and the afternoons taught through French, the students are totally immersed into two worlds. Within these two worlds the essential threads of correctness of work, personal presentation and encouraging a questioning mind are ever present.
